Environmental & Sustainability policy.
SENSEI understands the need to have a robust Environmental & Sustainability Policy and for it to clearly demonstrate SENSEI’s commitment to green issues and a reduction in the wider environmental impact of our operations, in all that SENSEI, our Suppliers and Clients do, setting out business improvements that can be measured, monitored, reported upon in order to track performance.
Whilst we also understand there is no legal requirement or standard structure for an environmental policy, we believe this policy is the best way of SENSEI demonstrating the following objectives and clear measurable targets:
A clear intent to comply with the vast range of environmental legislation which may affect SENSEI, our employees, clients, suppliers and local communities.
Ensuring SENSEI remains within environmental legislation.
Defining environmental roles and responsibilities.
Reducing materials and energy wastage.
Providing a good quality framework to ensure we reduce our environmental impact and mitigate incidents that could result in a liability.
Promote sustainability and environmental awareness throughout SENSEI, to all employees, suppliers, and clients.
Our key Environment Policy objectives and measurable targets are :
Complying with all applicable environmental legislation and sustainability commitments
Measuring and analysing the carbon footprint of our operational activities in conjunction with other climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts
Preventing pollution and reducing consumption of resources through waste management strategies that promote waste minimisation re-use, recovery and recycling, as appropriate
Incorporating energy efficiency measures into SENSEI’s facilities and promoting efficient energy use in all areas of operational activity
Promoting and continuing to invest in technologies that provide alternatives to business travel
Adopt, manage, monitor and report upon sustainable procurement policy and process which considers the environmental impact of products, services and supports the procurement of energy-efficient products
Ensure SENSEi employees are aware of the environmental impacts of their work activities and encourage them through regular awareness and training to minimise those impacts.
Promoting the protection enhancements of biodiversity and ecosystems through employee awareness and engagement.
Pursuing a programme of continuous improvement by reviewing our Environmental Management System and related objectives, targets, SLA’s, policies and processes.
Ensuring SENSEI maintain a robust sustainable procurement policy and associated processes to ensure all of SENSEI’s suppliers, and our clients share the same environmental values as SENSEI.
Ensuring this policy is implemented daily, monitor its usage and effectiveness, manage and share lessons learnt, SENSEI employee training, provide SLA performance reporting, report on all breaches, quality assure internal control systems and processes ensuring their accuracy and relevance.
